When Ken is not too busy with his new company, he will write these
pages to suit him, but until then....
Ken
had been fencing in competitions since high school. His introduction
to the SCA was through members of his fencing team at Virginia Tech.
Since then, he has sought information about 15th-17th century rapier
fighting from original sources and has attempted to recreate some of
the period moves in SCA light weapons combat. In addition, he is interested
in the social and cultural contexts of duello and how it fit into the
education and practice of being a courtier.
On this page, he will publish fencing moves, information about primary
sources, and other duello-related research. For this time, he has compiled
the Characteristics of Bucklers in the Wallace
Collections, London. The previous article can be found on the Archive page
